Nanny Interview & Screening Process
- Home Manager/Nanny Pre-Screen Application: complete and submit the pre-screen application to evaluate interest and experience. Let’s make sure we are the agency for your family.
- Resume and Job Application: submit a resume and return the job application for review and verification.
- Telephone, Video, or In-Person Conference: a professional yet friendly conversation to share practical experiences and skills, current and future life and career goals, and other talents and abilities that contribute to your work like your philosophy on child rearing and disciplining. Portfolio review of degrees, certifications, activities, awards, and other credentials that supports proper placement.
- Enter pre-qualified candidates’ information into database to create a profile and initiate background check. Agency pays for the background check
- Background Check: We search for evidence that supports their job qualifications, professional online persona, and a personality that fits families. In addition, but at no charge, a federal criminal arrest, drivers’ history, social security, sex offender registries, professional licensing and higher education degrees are verified. We will also conduct a digital footprint by checking social media. We search for in appropriate images, evidence of illicit behavior, and disparaging words that would lead to rejecting a candidate. We also verify and confirm references from all candidates.
- Inform candidate that background is clear or not. Answer candidates’ questions and assist with special request that’s within our ability.
Home Manager / Nanny Career Search Begin
- Candidates profile goes live for families to view and consider matching.
- Notify client/family of possible match via candidate’s nanny profile, job description, resume, etc.
Employer Meet & Greet
- Prepare to interview with potential family/employee. Agency shares information about the employer with the candidate to discover fit for interview.
- Coordinate telephone interview between family/employer and candidate by email or phone. Candidate to follow-up with agency same or following day regarding interview. If family and nanny agrees,
- Shadow up to 4 paid hours to learn about the family’s dynamics, train on home responsibilities and care expectations, set tentative schedule, etc. Shadowing pay is $25 per hour.
- Agency will follow-up again with candidate about the interview with family.
Hiring Process

Send family a sample job description, service agreement and non-disclosure agreement to draft

Send drafted job description, service agreement, non-disclosure, I-9 (proves citizenship), W2 (due to family by January 1) to candidate for review.

Family pays 20% of nanny’s annual gross salary prior to nannies’ signature on the job description and agreement.
✓
OPTIONAL: Human Resources and Payroll Referral to GTM for domestic staff pay, taxes and questions regarding employment.
✓
Observe nanny first 30 days. Successful? Receives $200 Sign-on Bonus! After 60 days, agency follow-up with nanny and family for feedback on their relationship.
During 60-Days Observation
✓ We aim to replace your first nanny within the first 60 days of hire FREE OF CHARGE! We have 30 additional days to replace the nanny before the family chooses to pay again to search our database or work with a different agency. We work diligent to match the best nanny with the right family on our first attempt. If you have any problems within this timeframe, please do not hesitate to contact us immediately for support. We look forward to resolving your concerns and beginning a new search for your family if needed.
✓ Our placement fee is due one-time per candidate placement. We aim to replace your first nanny within the first 30 days without an additional fee. We have 30 additional days to replace nanny before family chooses to pay again to search or work with a different agency.
✓ Answer all questions and offer feedback.
✓ Facilitate future interviews. If the agency is unable to find another match within the first 60-days, the family can choose to go with another agency.
✓ Ongoing support from the agency.
✓ Our placement fee is a one-time, nonrefundable fee.
